Well, this will be a fairly quick recap. Mostly because Wyoming did not do much worth mentioning. The only times this game was close was early. Missouri did not score a TD until their sixth drive. Unfortunately, the Missouri offense had figured out the Cowboys defense at that point. Missouri would follow that up with TD drives on their next four possessions, scoring TD’s on five drives in a row. Meanwhile, the Wyoming offense did little-to-nothing, so the defense was the Cowboys only hope. When the defense started to fail, all hope was gone.
At half, this game was 16 to 0. Wyoming did not score until they were already down 23 to 0. That first score was a 51 yard field goal with 7:29 left in the 3rd. It felt every bit like a moral victory - rather than that Wyoming had any chance at coming back in this game. Wyoming would score a TD on a 7 yard run by Jevon Bigelow with 2:51 left in the 3rd. That made it to 30 to 10, but it was quickly 37 to 10 after the final TD drive for the Tigers. After that, a few punts and a couple of exchanged field goals ended the game with a final of 40 to 13 in favor of Missouri.
Not much more to say about this one. The game was pretty much all Missouri. For those interested, see below for the Missouri highlights.
