It’s Monday. There was football this weekend. Some wins, some losses, some disappointment. Take a look at some articles rolling out to start the week.
Harold Mann wrote on LinkedIn how surprised he was about the program. He was at a job fair and came away impressed by how polite and prepared the student athletes were. It’s worth a read to see all his praises and the program continues to be a huge positive for San Jose State football.
The Rainbow Warriors got back in the win column on Saturday. They’ll take it, but it doesn’t sound like they were satisfied. Their offensive stats continue to be on the lower end for their offense. Likewise, the defense let an FCS team hang around most of the game.
They beat an SEC team, but lost to FCS Illinois State over the weekend. Even worse, they never really seemed in the game. Now Illinois State is a good football program. but they should never come into CSU’s home turf and exert their will the entire game. Bobo’s seat has to be feeling quite warm right now.
Wyoming is coming off a bye and conference play is coming. They’ve had more than their share of injuries since fall camp but things are looking up now. Take a read to see how close to full strength the Cowboys plan to be going into their game against Boise State.
But Aztecs may be getting less healthy...
Juwan Washington did not play second half of @SDSUFootball 23-20 OT win vs. Eastern Michigan. Was seen in a sling on SDSU sidelines. After the game, Rocky Long said "he strained something in his upper chest .... The doctors seem really positive that he's going to be OK." https://t.co/LnwbVyjRNA— Kirk D Kenney (@sdutkirKDKenney) September 23, 2018
