Here we are for another week. Expect things to start heating up now that the season is back in the swing of things. Teams will be able to host players again on campus for official visits. This week still had a few some new offers handed out and another new verbal commitment. Since news has been a bit slow, we reached out to some verbal commits to see who has scheduled official visits and when the rest are thinking of scheduling theirs.
Scheduled Official Visits
The heart of official visit season is upon us now that August is ending and games are back. I was able to get in touch with a large number of the verbal commits scattered across the 12 Mountain West Conference teams. While many have yet to schedule their official visits, and many of the Nevada pledges have already gone on theirs, here is what has been scheduled so far:
Boise State:
- QB Hank Bachemier: nothing scheduled, but says he plans on going up more than once this year
- DE: Casey Kline: Oct 6th
- OL: Jacob Golden: Oct 6th
- RB Keegan Duncan: Nothing scheduled yet, but looking at Oct 6th
Colorado State:
- CB Xavier Goldsmith: Hasn’t scheduled anything yet.
Nevada:
- They already got visits from their 10 commits
San Diego State:
- ATH Brionne Penny: Nothing scheduled yet, but should be soon
- LB Michael Shawcroft: Nothing is scheduled yet.
- CB Brandon Shivers: Hasn’t scheduled it at this time.
San Jose State:
- QB Alec Trujillo: Nothing scheduled yet
- OL Jelani Newman: Oct 13th
- OL Justin Scrempos: Hasn’t scheduled anything yet
- CB: Stan Livingston Jr: Is looking to go sometime in December, but nothing scheduled
UNLV:
- DE Matty Horne: Nothing scheduled yet.
Wyoming:
- H-back Parker Christensen: hasn’t scheduled a visit yet
I’ll reach out to more players this week and do the same for next Monday.
