The Broncos are just over a week away from their week one match up against the Troy Trojans. Boise State appears to be battling some injuries to expected starters and an unexpected surgery may sideline a touted freshman linebacker.
- Octavius Evans, David Moa, and Zeke Noa will be sitting out Fan Fest on Saturday. Noa had surgery today and will not play against Troy. His status for the rest of the season is uncertain, as Harsin did not discuss the details of his injury. Evans has been seen wearing a walking boot and his injury is likely something involving his ankle. Moa has been a vital part of the Broncos defense the past two season and if his injury is going to result in missed game time, it will test the depth of the defensive line.
Two guys that won’t play at Saturday’s Fan Fest...— Jay Tust (@KTVBSportsGuy) August 23, 2018
DL - David Moa
WR - Ocatvius Evans
Also, Ezekiel Noa had surgery today. There’s no timeline for his return, but he will at the very least miss the Troy game. pic.twitter.com/IxDa3TyprA
- Harsin seemed VERY optimistic about Alexander Mattison and his potential for the upcoming season. Junior seasons tend to be epic for Bronco running backs, Jay Ajayi and Jeremy McNichols are recent examples.
- Also, check out this poll that KTVB is running and vote for the best Bronco team of all time. If you don’t pick 2010 you are wrong...
