Places bets for next year’s NCAA Tourney? Money’s on Nevada.
Much was written about Nevada last week after their talented trio announced their return to school. Now they are quickly becoming the darling of analysts and experts. They are the early favorites amongst sports gamblers to win the tourney.
Wyoming gets a preview.
The Cowboys are a bit of a unknown heading into 2018. But College Football News is calling them “Bohl’s Best Team yet.” They site how they will be strong defensively and how they have developed weapons on offense. The odds have them set at 6.5 and guess that they end up at 7.
A look at the MWC and where Colorado State fits in.
This takes a look at Mountain West Conference athletics as a whole and notes that the Rams finished #4 behind Boise State, San Diego State, and UNLV. They note has this has been a drop off from recent years, when they were higher in the MWC.
College Football Preview look at Boise State.
They have the Broncos building on their 2017 success and saying it will be a disappointment if they don’t win the MWC Championship again. They note QB Rypien going into his senior year, RB Mattison taking another step, and their defense remaining strong. They predict a 10 win season for the Broncos.
MWC predictions by Athlon Sports.
Athlon too views Boise State as the top team in the Group of 5, noting schedule and talent lining up in their favor this season. In what may be a surprise move, the Aggies are picked as the number 2 team behind them in the mountain division. They see the battle in the west division coming down to Fresno State or San Diego State, but points out the Bulldogs face the Broncos and Aztecs in back to back weeks.
