It’s Tuesday and we had a full weekend of action from the hardwood to gridiron. Bowl season is upon us as 6 MW teams prepare for upcoming bowl games. We also have continued non-conference basketball to keep you guys updated on. Check it all out below.
Strong second half lifts Nevada over USC.
Nevada found itself trailing at the half for the first time all season this past Saturday. USC and their 2-3 zone slowed down the Wolfpack in the first half but it was all Nevada in the second half. Jordan Caroline led the way with 24 points and 11 boards as Nevada beat the Trojans 73-61 in Los Angeles. Up next, Arizona State.
Every bowl game ranked from 1-39
It’s bowl season and we have you covered. Here is an article ranking every single bowl game based on strength of teams playing, how even the matchups are, and the competing teams play styles. Mountain West teams seem to be playing in either vey exciting bowls or very boring bowls according to the ranking. Take a look!
Nevada All-American McLane Mannix transferring out of program.
McLane Mannix has decided to transfer. Mannix cited personal matters as to why he will be leaving the program. Nevada will be losing big time production from the WR position. While at Nevada for two seasons Mannix posted 107 catches for 1,653 yards and 13 touchdowns. Mannix still has his redshirt season left and is sure to garner interest from major programs. Mannix will have to sit a season before he can play the two seasons of eligibility he has left at his next school.
This is a big one. McLane Mannix leaving Nevada. https://t.co/ttQQ8WQ7gJ

Wyoming is second team from the MW since 2006 to be bowl eligible and not receive a postseason invite.
Wyoming had a great end to the season winning 4 consecutive games to reach bowl eligibility, unfortunately, they will not be going bowling. This is not a huge surprise as it was projected that one of the 7 bowl eligible teams from the conference would not receive an invite. The last MW team to be bowl eligible and not acquire an invite was San Jose State in 2013. Wyoming joins Miami (Ohio), Southern Miss, and UL Monroe as teams that were snubbed from a bowl game.
