Thanksgiving Day there’s always a day for people to eat, spend time with friends or family, or watch football. Mainly NFL football with couple college games trickled in. However, this year you get a good classic rivalry game in the Rams-Falcon showdown. This year is much different than previous years because both teams will not be going to a bowl game. It’s the first time since 2012 for Colorado State while Air Force will not be going to a bowl game for the second consecutive year. Despite the records this will be a fight to the end because it’s a rivalry game.
And last year’s game Air Force controlled the clock from the beginning they put up points however they take their time on drives to do so. Hey 13 play 98-yard drive late still the win for Air Force as they went into Fort Collins and defeated the Rams 45-28. The Falcons had four drives that were double digit plays and went at least five minutes. Holding the ball for over 41 minutes, the Falcons slowed the Rams high powered offense. The Falcons will be looking to do the same thing behind Cole Fagan and Isiah Sanders.
The Rams are coming Off a controversial loss in which they scored on game winning hell Mary pass for it to be called back by penalty due to an illegal touching penalty. The Rams have much to play for though as they have struggled in rivalry games since Mike bobo has taken over as head coach. The Rams had over 500 yards of offense against a great Utah State team, but Colin Hill threw two pick 6’s. For the Rams to win they need to limit the turnovers, control the clock, and limit the big plays out of the option.
Prediction: Colorado State 31 – Air Force 24
