As week twelve concludes, the Mountain West can tout having more ranked teams than any other Group of Five school.

  • Fresno State reentered the Coaches Poll at #23 after securing a birth in the Mountain West Championship game with a victory over San Diego State. The Bulldogs are one spot out of the AP poll, the championship game should feature two ranked teams this year.
  • Boise State climbed in the polls this week, as they are #22 in the Coaches Poll and #21 in the AP.
  • The Mountain West will have their signature game to close the regular season as Utah State stayed strong at #14 in both polls despite a close game against Colorado State.

As I state earlier, the Mountain West Championship game should feature two ranked teams for the first time in recent memory.
