CSU makes quarterback change for the Border War

After playing the entire 4th quarter against Boise State last week, Colin Hill will return as the starting quarterback for CSU against Wyoming. Hill started 5 games as a true freshman prior to tearing his ACL. Hill looked good in limited time last week as he completed 12 of 14 pass attempts.

The opposing quarterback in the Border War is yet to be determined

Head coach Craig Bohl has said that everybody will have to wait until gametime to find out who Wyoming’s starting quarterback will be against CSU. The offense played well after true freshman Sean Chambers took over in the second half last week, indicating he may be the obvious choice to lead the team going forward.

Weekly power rankings

San Diego State hung onto the top spot despite a weak win over San Jose State. Fresno State and Utah State round out the top 3.

Nevada’s Elijah Cooks is having a breakout season

A good background story on the star wide receiver whose play has reached a new level in his last 5 games. Cooks nearly pursued basketball in college prior to receiving a football scholarship from Wyoming. He ended up at Nevada to play football, but he also joined the basketball team last season when it was down in numbers.

Speaking of Nevada basketball

Caleb Martin became the team’s first preseason AP All-American, tying for the fifth spot. Martin and the Wolf Pack are expected to have an exciting season.
