Welcome to another compilation of the biggest news in the MWC. Read what we put together for you for today and take a look at the content we are rolling out for the rest of today and tomorrow:

There’s progress for the Wolf Pack in Year 2

But it’s not linear. There are certainly much more competitive and it’s easy to see the talent. However, it hasn’t translated to as many wins as they would like. They lost a heartbreaker to Boise State and aren’t taking the path of more victories either.

Bronco’s Harsin getting paid?

It sounds like he’s about to get pretty nice raise, pending the state board’s approval. There are some interesting details leaking out, such as a smaller buyout than expected and bonuses for winning 8 games or beating Power 5 teams (and BYU) and perhaps most importantly, a bigger pool for assistants. But will it be enough to keep Power 5 teams from luring him away?

For starters, grad transfers would count for a scholarship for two years, even if they are only on the team for one, unless they get their masters in their one year at the school. There are some other interesting proposals too, such as walk-ons being able to transfer and play right away and other transfer rules. It’s all interesting, but some are more likely to stick than others.
