This week brought a college football game for every Mountain West team, bringing mixed results (the conference went 7-5 this week). There were a few more wins on the recruiting front, as Nevada secured two commitments and Colorado State added another one to their ever-growing class.
Commit Interview: Brandon Derrow
MWConnection: What made Colorado State the school for you?
Derrow: I loved it there and thought it was beautiful. The experience at the game was incredible. They were really interest in me and I thought it was a good fit.
MWConnection: Which coaches were your main recruiters and what do you think of the coaching staff there?
Derrow: Coach Bryant was my main recruiter and Coach Logo played a big role as well. I thought the staff as a whole were all genuine and a family there which is good to see as a recruit.
MWConnection: What have the coaches said about your strengths as a player as how they see you fitting into their scheme?
Derrow: They think I'm a high motor, blue collar player that they're looking for in their defense. They see me at the defensive end position where my high motor can really make an impact.
MWConnection: Are you considering signing in December, or enrolling early, or anything like that?
Derrow: I can't early enroll because I go to a catholic school but signing in December like a good option and one I've thought about.
Commit Interview: Cole Turner
MWConnection: What were some of the factors that played into your decision to commit to Nevada?
Turner: I was one of the silent commits, waiting a day or two to announce it myself. I had a great relationship with the staff, I love the location and how they treat there players and what they are doing with the offense.
MWConnection: Speaking of the offense, how do you feel you fit in as a WR to what they are doing?
Turner: I feel like I'm a perfect fit! They like to use there outside receivers to stretch the field and run longer routes and that’s what I can bring to the team.
MWConneciton: Which coaches played the biggest role in recruiting you?
Turner: Coach Miller and me talked every week. I also had an hour talk with coach Norvell while I was down there and how I could do special things there. Coach Mumme also explained how I could come there and compete immediately and fit in with their system.

- DT Baraka Beckett visited Hawaii
- DB Khoury Bethley visited Hawaii

- DB Cameron Stephens was offered by Nevada
