NCAA Football: Fresno State at Colorado State Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

Another week of football and another week of recruiting. The MWC coaching staffs continue to put in hard work and are constantly offering players. As always, here at MWConnection, we strive to cover those recruiting updates as much as possible. In a continuous attempt to put a slightly different spin on this weekly piece, I figured this week can be more of a fun one, taking a look at a list of superlatives in the Mountain West Conference’s commits thus far:

Most commitments: 19 (Colorado State)

Highest rated recruit: JR Justice (SDSU)

Most 3 star commitments: Boise State (9 per Rivals), Colorado State (10, per Scout)

Tallest recruit: Daniel Bellinger 6’6 (SDSU), Cole Turner 6’6 (Nevada)

Shortest recruit: Carter Kuehl 5’6 (Air Force)

Heaviest recruit: Moroni Iniguez 340 (Utah State)

Most states with a commit: 9 (Colorado State)

Least states with a commit: 1 (SJSU)

Recruit with the most interesting name: Knowledge Smith (Nevada), Moroni Iniguez (Utah State)

Recruit with the least interesting name: Gary Williams (Colorado State), Phillip Mills Boise State)
