Hawaii Rainbow Warriors wide receiver John Ursua posted a monster stat line vs. Massachusetts in the Warriors thrilling 38-35 victory this past Saturday. The 272 yards receiving on 12 catches put Ursua fourth on Hawaii's all-time single-game receiving records list. Considering the long line of top receivers Hawaii has produced over the years, that is no small accomplishment and the Mountain West did him justice by naming John Ursua Mountain West Offensive Player of the Week. Our source? Nick Rolovich himself.
@MWCConnection is very busy, I'll step up and make the announcement. Congrats to John Ursua on being named MWC Offensive Player of the Week.

Ursua's dominant performance trails only Jason Rivers' 308 receiving yards vs. Arizona State in the 2006 Hawaii Bowl, Ashley Lelie's 285 receiving yards vs. Air Force in 2001, and Chad Owens' 283 receiving yards vs. Michigan State in 2004. Ursua figures to be one of quarterback Dru Brown's main targets in 2017, and could be on the verge of an all-MWC caliber season.
You can watch John Ursua and the rest of the Rainbow Warriors play again this Saturday at 6 p.m. HT vs. Western Carolina.
