The 6-8, 195-pound forward from Tucson, Arizona spent his first two seasons with Pima Community College. He started all 33 games and averaged 20.6 points, 9.6 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.
James will be a major addition to the Colorado State frontcourt next season. He will team up with Nico Carvacho, who averaged 5.4 points in 36 games his freshman year, and Alonzo Tyson, a talented JUCO commit. With the loss of Emmanuel Omogbo, a first team all-Mountain West forward last season, Larry Eustachy has bounced back nicely with a formidable trio of forwards.
Colorado State currently has 15 players under scholarship for next season. The NCAA only allows teams to carry 13 scholarship players, which would mean two players would have to be walk-ons if no other players depart this offseason.
