McNeal is a 6-0, 195-pound point guard from Jackson, Tennessee. McNeal spent his first season at Western Kentucky before heading to the JUCO level. He averaged 5.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 4.9 assists in 34 games for the Hilltoppers in 2015-16.
With Indian Hills CC last season, McNeal upped his scoring average to 13.1 points per game. According to Albuquerque Journal’s Geoff Grammer, McNeal was named to the NJCAA honorable mention All-American team for his efforts this past season.
Because McNeal first began at a four-year school, transferred to a JUCO school and now plans to transfer back to a four-year school, he must meet the following requirements to be eligible for the 2017-18 season:

McNeal’s addition to the New Mexico roster ushers in the turning of the page into the Paul Weir era in Albuquerque.
