New Mexico wing Sam Logwood will reportedly return to the Lobos for next season, multiple sources said Tuesday.
Logwood, who spent his first three seasons with the Lobos, is a 6-7, 210-pound wing by the way of Indianapolis. The former 3-star recruit averaged 6.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists and has knocked down 168 three-pointers in his career.
Logwood originally announced his intent to transfer from the university back in March 27, but it was rumored that he and Elijah Brown would consider returning to UNM depending on New Mexico’s coaching hire, which ended up being former New Mexico State coach Paul Weir.
Weir and the New Mexico coaching staff now will wait to see if Elijah Brown, Xavier Adams, Anthony Mathis and Jalen Harris decide to return to Albuquerque. As it stands, Logwood and Dane Kuiper would be the returning scoring leaders for the Lobos, at 13.3 combined points per game last season.
