He discussed his touring career with M.C. Hammer and how that helped him on the football field as a coach. The common theme between both was “hard work,” because fans expect to see a polished product on the football field, and in Carter’s case also the dance floor.
Coach Carter has had success at every coaching level where he won seven high school state titles in California and four conference championships as the head coach at Contra Costa College.
Carter said that his most successful accomplishment is sending approximately 100 players play football and continue their education at the Division I level. He also enjoyed being a mentor and father figure to countless kids in the Bay Area.
Coach Carter gives some behind the scenes of his dancing career which included an eventful visit to the Oprah Winfrey Show and performing live at the Grammy's.
The big question people want to know is if Carter will have an encore dance performance.
If you want to listen to just the Coach Carter interview, it starts just after the 10-minute mark.
