Three UNLV players have transferred from the university as of Wednesday afternoon, per release.
Tony Baxter, Zion Morgan and Jalen Poyser will all be leaving the school, after requesting releases earlier this week. The trio combined for 17.6 points, 6.3 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game this past season for a UNLV team that lost a program-record 21 games.
Wednesday’s departures are worrisome for the UNLV community, as the Rebs have suffered massive hits to the roster over the past two seasons. Last year, UNLV’s entire recruiting class left, while four other players transferred out of the program and Stephen Zimmerman and Patrick McCaw both declared for the NBA Draft and were selected in the second round.

Second year head coach Marvin Menzies has his work cut out this spring as he continues the uphill climb of rebuilding a shattered UNLV program. Jovan Mooring, who will be a senior next season, will be the only returning Rebel that averaged more than nine points per game this year.
Menzies currently has 11 players under scholarship and a letter of intent signed by Jay Green, a 2-star point guard who will be a freshman this fall.
