Nevada’s Jordan Caroline was named the tournament MVP.

NCAA Basketball: Colorado State at Nevada Lance Iversen-USA TODAY Sports

Nevada held off Colorado State 79-71 on Saturday, marking the Wolf Pack’s first trip to the NCAA Tournament since 2007.

Jordan Caroline, who logged a double-double in the title game with 23 points (7-11 from the field and 7-10 at the free throw line) and 10 rebounds, was named the Mountain West tournament MVP.

Also, the Mountain West all-tournament team was announced:

As expect, solely Nevada and Colorado State players led the all-tournament team.

Gian Clavell, who came up short of an NCAA Tournament appearance after winning MWC player of the year, scored 30 of CSU’s 71 points in Saturday’s loss. He had 51 points in the first two games, and averaged 27.0 points per game in the Mountain West tournament.

Nevada now awaits Sunday’s bracket reveal.
