Wyoming seeks to snap losing streak against the Lobos

The Cowboys have dropped three straight. The Dome of Doom is a good place to snap losing streaks

Wyoming’s been on a bit of a skid recently.

Honestly, a lot of their troubles have been more of the same. Lax defense and the uncanny ability to dig themselves into deep holes have killed the Cowboys the last few games.

Wyoming was down by as much as 14 against Boise State earlier in the week and as much as ten against CSU in the Border War, playing catch-up the entire second half.

It’s frustrating as a fan to sit in the stands and see the team scramble to come back from a hole like that for 15 minutes.

Anyway, they’re playing the New Mexico Lobos today, and the game will carry a bit more significance than your ordinary basketball game.

Both teams will be promoting the “NO MORE” campaign, which aims to raise public awareness and engagement around ending sexual assault and domestic violence. The NFL partnered with the same company last year.

Now, while there’s been some controversy around the company, it’s good that the teams are trying to shine a light on the issues, especially in a college setting.

With regards to the actual game, there really isn’t much else I can contribute that I haven’t already. Wyoming’s defense isn’t going to change at all, but they’re scoring when they need to.

Hopefully, it’ll be a close game. New Mexico is one of the better teams in the conference, which may just be selling them short since they’re only 2.5 game back for the conference lead.

Will Wyoming win? Will New Mexico win? Anything can happen.
