NASA found some planets. Here's some Mountain West-rooted names for them.

Science!

There's some big news from NASA today: We found some planets! And they may have water and life, which is more than we could say of Fresno State football last fall.

You know, because of the drought and the losing. Anyway!

Much of the conversation has already turned to how we might name the heretofore nameless planets, which means that there's a golden opportunity to put our best foot forward on this. Feel free to leave your own suggestions in the comments, but there'stwo simple rules:

  1. It has to be related to the Mountain West.
  2. It has to sound vaguely scientific. Maybe.

If someone could pass our list along to the folks at the Air Force, though, who knows? It's only a matter of time until the Academy forgoes a home game in conference play to host Hawaii on a neutral field on DeBerry.

See what we did there? Here's some other suggestions.
