Colorado State Rams 2017 Recruiting Class

Meet the Rams who signed for the 2017 class

NCAA Football: Fresno State at Colorado State Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The Colorado State Rams signed a full class that includes four mid year enrollees.

Offensive Player Rams should be most excited about watching:

Warren Jackson, Wide Receiver

Warren Jackson is a go up and get it type of receiver. His height, 6 feet, 5 inches, provides a mismatch against most defensive backs. He should be a big red zone target for the Rams. The Rams were one of his first offers and were able to flip his commitment from Arizona.

Defensive Player Rams should be most excited about watching:

Emmanuel Jones, Linebacker

Emmanuel Jones wasn’t on most Rams fans radar during the recruiting process. He only became known in the later stages. He is a big backer, 6’4” 245 pounds, who still has room to grow. He played defensive line for the beginning of his high school career, but for his senior year the coaches moved him to linebacker to take advantage of his speed. Jones can cover sideline to sideline very quickly. Look for Jones to make an impact for the defense.

Biggest Impact Player From Day One:

Preston Williams, Wide Receiver

Even though he won’t suit up on field for the Rams until 2018, Preston Williams will be a big factor for the Rams. He will raise the level of competition for the Rams from the moment he steps on the practice field. He’ll force defensive backs to step up and cover him and he’ll force the other wide receiver to match him. Williams will bring that SEC type swagger that CSU has been missing since Dee Hart.

Sleeper Player of the Class:

Darius Wise, Athlete

Darius Wise was another late addition to the recruiting process for Rams fans. He played quarterback in high school and was responsible for 94 touchdowns in his career. The CSU coaches see him playing all three phases of the game. He can play corner, slot-receiver, and return kicks. Some Rams fans were comparing Wise to former Ram Dexter Wynn.
