Well, what are we supposed to expect?
This has been nothing short of the most confusing, exciting, infuriating and controversial Mountain West seasons in history, and it will be even more incendiary from here on out.
In short, the latest bracket projections are an absolute mess. Colorado State, despite operating with just seven scholarship players, has taken over sole possession of first place in the conference amid swirling rumors about Larry Eustachy’s checkered past.
Nevada and Boise State have been hit-or-miss as of late. These two squads appeared to be primed to run away from the rest of the field early in conference play, but both the Wolf Pack and Broncos have squandered respective opportunities of seizing momentum going forward.
Instead of trying to explaining how all of the Bracket Matrix projections and Team Rankings predictions have sorted out, I decided to take the top five teams in the league and display the recent stats in a table format.

If anything is for certain, it’s that the Mountain West Tournament will be very intriguing and unpredictable this year. If you are in town that week or have the availability to do so, pick up some tickets. We have no idea what’s going to happen.
