The Mountain West Connection All-Conference Team

Post-season honors fun, so we did our own.

NCAA Football: Fresno State at Colorado State Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

The official MWC team was released by the Mountain West on Wednesday. That gave us the idea, why don’t we put our own version out? So we put our heads together and compiled a team. Some picks were no brainers (Stevens, Penny, Gallup, LVE, Ginda), while others were much tougher (2nd team QB, 2nd team WRs, just about all the OL selections). Also, we are using a “flex” position rather than list 2 RBs or 3 WRs, especially since some teams use either a half-back, wide receiver, or tight end as their 11th player on offense (although we ended up listing RBs for both of our spots).

Disclaimer: There are lots of great players in the conference and only so many spots. Arguments can be made for many guys to be mentioned or on a higher team. There will always be snubs. Always. Try to treat this list as a group of guys who are for the most part deserving but it’s not as inclusive as it should be. There are other deserving players as well. Also, I’ll be honest, I referenced the PFF College Football MWC Teams of Week for many of the choices, especially the OL and DT players.

With that being said, here is your 2017 Mountain West Connection All-MWC Team:
