As most teams have finished their seasons, of course attention will shift to recruiting. As you will see below, one team has wasted no time starting some in home visits and many more will follow suit. Starting this week, coaching changes and recruiting updates will be occurring seemingly by the second. As always, MWConnection will do our best to provide coverage and updates as we receive them. Follow us on twitter and check back here for all updates. As for today, read about some visits and new commits from the past week or so.
Visit Recaps:
TE Jace Sternberger (visited Boise State)
“It was fantastic, me and Chase (Blakley) really hit it off. He hosted me Friday and Montell hosted me Saturday. Chase and I were definitely talking about the future together. The coaches were great, I really enjoyed meeting all of them for the first time. The facilities were amazing as well as everyone involved with the program. I was really impressed with Coach Harsin , he’s a great guy . I felt that Harsin wants you to develop as a young man first and then football will take care of itself. And his beliefs about work ethic and how passionate he is about Boise State is great. All of the players were really welcoming and made me feel right at home, it’s really a family atmosphere there. 10/10 visit.
JUCO CB Delrick Abrams Jr (Boise State)
“It was a great visit. The highlights for me were the program, players, as well as the fans. The coaches and I discussed what the football program has to offer and we also just talked about life. It was a great experience and it’s hard to compare to Colorado at this point because both were good.”
WR JJ Tucker (Hawaii)
“My visit went well it was nice and I loved the weather the beautiful island and the coaching staff treated me as family. It was a great trip overall.”
Commit Spotlight:
Phillip Hill (UNLV):
“My dad and I actually went on an academic visit in June, and I loved the campus and culture. By the time we received interest on the athletic side, it was already a perfect fit. I love the heart that I saw them play with when I went to the Hawaii game. I also loved my conversation with the coaches and the fact that the program is on the rise. The coaches have been the best to communicate with. We've mainly spoken about the program and the quality education at UNLV. I am just looking forward to helping the team anyway I can once I arrive on campus.”
