The Colorado State Rams were going with a 10 man rotation for the majority of the season. That is now down to seven.
Juniors Kimani Jackson, Che Bob, and Devocio Butler were all declared academically ineligible for the spring semester, which starts January 17th. That means these three only have three more games left in their junior years: at San Jose State, vs Air Force, and vs New Mexico.
The university sent out the following press release per Matt Stephens of The Coloradoan:
Colorado State down to 7 scholarship players for the rest of the season. When @KellyLyell asked Eustachy about this today, coach stormed out pic.twitter.com/8ocIOGWLne

The three juniors combined for 20 points, 10.7 rebounds, 45% from the floor, and 75% from the free throw line. While Jackson, Bob, and Butler were mainly role players, they each had a breakout game this year. Jackson against Boise State, Bob against Maryland-Eastern Shore, and Butler against both Northern Colorado and Colorado.
The CSU Rams will only have 7 players to work with starting January 18th at Fresno State. The Rams have a roster of 15, including 5 transfers. If the Rams need bodies, they are going to have to bring in walk-ons.
We will see how the Rams are going to handle this adversity. The other 7 players will have to step up big time.
