Nevada has a second running back? Freshman Jaxson Kincaide has stepped up in a big way despite having just one FBS offer. He has an amazing story to make it to this point.

An “awesome little guy” with a remarkable story. At this point last year, Kincaide wasn’t even a starter on his high school team. He wasn’t on the second unit, either. The Fort Lauderdale, Fla., native was actually a third-stringer and unlikely figure to earn a Division I scholarship let alone play as a freshman.

New quarterback for the Lobos: Lamar Jordan is now the starting quarterback with Austin Apodaca out with a collarbone injury. The backup is now sophomore Jajuan Lawson, and head coach Bob Davie said it will be a one quarterback job.

The Utah State running game will be at full strength.

Players to watch in UNLV vs. Idaho: The Las Vegas Review-Journal lists the five players to look out for in this game, three are on the Rebels side in Johnny Stanton, Lexington Thomas and Devonte Boyd. Clearly the offense is why UNLV will, or will not, get the win against the Vandals.

Sporting News places San Diego State basketball in their top 25: In the publication’s preseason poll written by Ryan Fagan, he writes that No. 25 SDSU “will defend, and veteran coach Steve Fisher has a talented group of transfer ready to step in after practicing with the team last year.”
