Utah State hosts Arkansas State and the Aggies are looking to rebound from their lopsided loss against USC. Playing the Red Wolves is more in the neighborhood of the talent level of Utah State.
Arkansas State has won five straight Sun Belt titles but this team is taking a step back from those conference title teams as they are 0-2 with loses to Toledo and Auburn.
Utah State might be without starting running back Devante Mays who left the USC game and is a game-time decision with a lower leg injury. The Aggies Tonny Lindsey is going to be taking the bulk of the carries Friday night. The production is a large drop off but in addition to Lindesy look for Justin Hervey and LaJuan Hunt get some more carries.
The Aggies can make up for any decencies in the ground game with their defense since Arkansas State has struggled this year. Starting quarterback Chad Voytik has completed 57 percent of his passes and no touchdowns. The ground game is not that much better as the Red Wolves only manage to garner 2.8 yards per rush.
