Bob Davie is keeping his starting quarterback to himself:

“We know who the starter’s going to be, (but) I’m gonna kind of wait and let South Dakota and you guys find out all at the same time,” Davie said. “… It really doesn’t matter, because they’re both going to play.”

"Typically, when you make substitutions in college football, you give your opponent time to match what you're doing," Caragher said. "If you don't sub, they don't have time to match. This keeps defenses tired and prevents them from running anything too complicated. It can also wear defenses out if they're not properly conditioned.
