Hawaii football: Warriors release depth chart against Cal; starting running back job is up for grabs

The quarterback is set but who else made the two-deep.

The big question for Hawaii football this fall was who will start at quarterback. That decision was made prior to the season and Ikaika Woosley was named the starter against Cal.

Most of the starters are set for this Warriors offense and a few backup position are listed with the OR designation. The backup quarterback is not settled and they are one play away from leading the team. The two fighting for that spot are Aaron Zwahlen and Dru Brown.

The offensive line is solidified with its two-deep which is great to keep the quarterback healthy and a potentially very good running game.

Speaking of the running game, head coach Nick Rolovich does not have a starter named. Paul Harris who rushed for 1,132 yards, which was sixth in the conference, and scored six touchdowns is in a battle with Diocemy Saint Juste.

Saint Juste was the starter heading into the 2015 season but he suffered a nagging hamstring that forced him to redshirt. Having a pair of running backs will definitely help this offense but it is interesting that Harris who was one of the better backs in the conference is not listed as the starter.

The Warriors are actually quite deep at running back as Steven Lakalaka is listed as their third back. In 2014, he had 646 rushing yards and lead the Warriors in rushing while splitting time with Joey Iosefa who also had over 600 yards.

Here is the Warriors depth chart for Week 1.
