Bovada gives Boise State, San Diego State best odds to win Mountain West

The odds favor Boise State and San Diego State to win the conference.

The favorites to win the Mountain West have largely been considered to be a title game that features defending conference champion San Diego State taking on Boise State.

The preseason magazines fall in line with that sentiment and have the Broncos and Aztecs as the unanimous pick to win their respected divisions.

Gambling website Bovada put out their odds for the entire conference — for some reason not divisions like they did for other leagues — and they overwhelmingly predict a Boise State vs. San Diego State game and give the Broncos a very slight edge to be Mountain West champions (and not make San Diego State fans too happy.)

Lurking behind the Broncos and Aztecs is last year’s Mountain division winner Air Force but they are not really given that great of odds to win the division again.

One surprise on this list is San Jose State and Utah State are being given modest 10-1 odds to win their divisions despite big losses. The Spartans lost running back Tyler Ervin while the Aggies lost their entire linebacking group to the NFL.

New Mexico is still not getting respect despite coming very close to winning the division last year but one reason they are in the bottom is because they lost the very explosive back in Jhurell Pressley.

Here are the complete odds:

Boise State 5/4

San Diego State 11/4

Air Force 15/2

San Jose State 10/1

Utah State 10/1

Colorado State 12/1

Nevada 12/1

New Mexico 18/1

Fresno State 33/1

UNLV 33/1

Hawaii 50/1

Wyoming 50/1
