The Rio Olympics are just around the corner, and the two-time defending men’s basketball champions, USA Basketball, named their team over the weekend. Included among them: Indiana Pacers forward and former Fresno State Bulldogs star Paul George.
George will contribute alongside veteran U.S. representatives Carmelo Anthony and Kevin Durant, who were a part of the 2012 gold medal squad, and the rest of the 12-man team, which can be found here.
Duke Blue Devils head coach Mike Krzyzewski will once again act as head coach of the Olympic team, as well, looking to remain undefeated on the world stage in his tenure.
In 81 games with Indiana in 2015-16, George put together perhaps his finest campaign yet by averaging 23.1 points, seven rebounds and 4.1 assists per game, averaging 41.8% from the floor and 37.1% from beyond the arc.
