Former Boise State forward James Webb III did not hear his name called in the NBA — which was not too much of a surprise. Webb did get picked up with a team as an undrafted free agent with the Philadelphia 76ers.
Webb earned a good deal with the 76ers where he is getting a two-year deal and according to his agent earning “significant guaranteed money.”
Getting a partially guaranteed deal in Philadelphia means there is confidence in the 76ers that Webb could make the active roster, but if not he more than likely would to the D-League to the Delaware 87ers.
With the 76ers still not a very good basketball team this could be a good spot for Webb to be on an NBA roster. Philadelphia did have the No. 1 overall pick and they chose LSU’S Ben Simmons.
