Last year, Fresno State took a dip and finished 3-9 and this year they have a pair of new coordinators in Lorenzo Ward who is taking over the defense and Eric Kiesau running the offense. Both of these coordinators came from the SEC at South Carolina and Alabama.

This could be Tim DeRuyter’s last chance with most of the staff being replaced. The quarterback position is what interests everyone the most since Fresno State is part of the #Quinterback club, but that should be resolved with Chason Virgel looking like he will be the starter.

Being in the West helps Fresno State as there are not many strong team but the Bulldogs still have some work to do do get back to competing for a conference title.

The big question is if they will be better than 3-9 last year.
