Spartans in Search for New Baseball Coach

Four years of losing records with very little improvement proved the undoing for Dave Nakama as San Jose State announced on June 10th that his contract would not be renewed. No word at this point on possible successors.

San Jose State Announces Search for New Baseball Coach

In a news release dated June 10th, the Spartants chose not to renew the contract of Dave Nakama as San Jose State's baseball coach. This is not a surprise as the record for the four years he was in charge was a losing one and the Spartans had finished last in the MWC since entering the conference

He is a good man and was more than helpful when I needed information. But, the name of the game is winning and he couldn't right the ship.
