Camden "Cam" Roane of Colleyville Heritage in Texas is a 2017 quarterback who has been increasingly sought after. The 6-2, 200-pound Qb threw for 3,000 yards and 33 touchdowns for Grapevine Faith before transferring to Colleyville Heritage.

Roane is said to be very accurate and very fast.

Pursued by Wisconsin, Boise State, UTEP and LSU- to name a few, he verbally committed to San Diego State University last Wednesday, whose national profile is growing and garnering increasing attention.

After playing for Grapevine (TX) Faith Christian as a freshman, Roane completed 50.8 percent of his passes for 812 yards; the following season, he threw for 3,085 at a 67.2 percent clip, as well as 33 touchdowns. After his breakout sophomore season, Roane transferred from Faith to Colleyville Heritage.

Roane threw for over 2,000 yards in 2015, connecting on 19 touchdowns and adding another two on the ground. He has one more year left at Colleyville before he enters college to play west coast football.

"San Diego is a great fit for me, the west coast offense is something every QB should know how to run smoothly. ...I believe that securing my spot at San Diego State is a smart move so that I don't have to worry as much about the recruiting process throughout my senior season, I want to enjoy it."

San Diego State looks forward to the addition of Cam Roane in 2017.
