Arizona Bowl: Mountain West will matchup against the Sun Belt

The second edition of the NOVA® Home Loans Arizona Bowl will again feature the Mountain West and the opponent will come from the Sun Belt -- or that is the hope since the game last year featured Nevada and Colorado State.

The kickoff date for the game is Dec. 30, 2016, and will again be played in Tucson, at University of Arizona's home field.

The Mountain West and Sun Belt will be the matchup for the next four years through 2019. This is the Sun Belt's fifth bowl tie-in and the seventh for the Mountain West.

For the second consecutive year Campus Insiders will be handling the production of this game.

Additionally, Campus Insiders, the premier online destination and leading content source for college sports fans, has agreed to a multi-year media partnership for the streaming of the game and enhanced digital game experience on CampusInsiders.com as well as on its many mobile and streaming media partner platforms. Campus Insiders is also finalizing an agreement with a national linear broadcast partner to televise the game.

Last year, the game was on over-the-air television on the American Sports Network which now appears to be a one-year deal to broadcast the 2015 game. It would be shocking if ASN or another network does not pick up this game, and maybe it will be beIN Sports who is getting into airing college athletics.

Kick off time is expected to be announced sometime in June.
