Just as the UNLV roster is coming together, the non conference schedule is also falling into place, with Jon Rothstein reporting that UNLV will be hosting the Kansas Jayhawks on December 22nd.

The Jayhawks will be one of three preseason top 10 teams that Marvin Menzies Rebels will have to square off against thanks to Dave Rice's incredibly tough non conference scheduling. The other two are Oregon and projected preseason number one, Duke.
UNLV lost 76-61 at Allen Fieldhouse in the first meeting in January of 2015. Dwayne Morgan is the only current Rebel that was on the roster for that game. He scored 2 points in 10 minutes. The Runnin' Rebels will need a lot more production from him this time around if they are going to have any hope of keeping this game close.
