The Mountain West baseball regular season is in the books with Fresno State taking home the regular season conference title with a 21-9 league record and edging out New Mexico and Nevada by one game.
The conference tournament with the teams converging to Albuquerque, New Mexico, starting on May 25 and going through Sunday May 29.
Fresno State and New Mexico both earned byes and will start play on Thursday, but the tournament gets underway in a single-elimination contest between San Jose State and San Diego State. The rest of the conference tournament is double-elimination.
Another benefit for Fresno State earning the top seed is that they play the lowest seed that advances to Thursday play.
The Mountain West is expected to be a one-bid league for the NCAA tournament, so there is extra pressure on the top seeds to keep winning. Even if Fresno State gets to 40 wins but does not win the tournament could be left out.
All of the games will be streamed on the Mountain West Network and also on the go90 app.
Below is the bracket and game schedule.
