New UNLV head coach Marvin Menzies has been busy on the recruiting trail to fill out the roster and on Thursday he landed three-star shooting guard Zion Morgan who decided to commit to the Rebels program.
After a tough recruiting process and discussing with my family and coaches, I'll be attending UNLV this year! ⚪️ ⚫️ pic.twitter.com/qrKfyyuQwt

The 6-foot-2, 170-pound guard out of Chicago was previously committed to Valparaiso in October and was expected to bypass that and go to prep school first at Gateway Prep Academy in Illinois, but then UNLV came in and he committed to the Rebels.
The other program going hard after Morgan was Wisconsin but they had not officially offered Morgan, at least according to various recruiting services. Teams that did offer Morgan were UC Irvine, Bradley, Toledo, Valparaiso and Western Michigan.
Check out some of his highlight tapes.
This might finalize the UNLV 2016 class, Morgan joins Kris Clyborn who committed to UNLV just this past week as well as fellow Chicagoan in Ben Coupet. UNLV does have a visit scheduled with 6-foot-11 forward Jordy Tshimanga this weekend.
The 2016 class currently has a total of five players and it is a dip in the past of the highly regarded classes as it is ranked at 73, per Rivals.
