UNLV's coaching search has cost them players to transfer and players declare for the NBA Draft, and now the trickle down as come to recruiting.
Three-star small forward Carlos Johnson committed to UNLV back on Sept. 25, 2015, and was committed after the Beard hiring. In a now deleted tweet, he sent out a message about his desire about the Rebels basketball program, but with Beard gone so is Johnson along with that tweet.
Johnson released as statement Friday night about his intention to open up his recruitment.

It is not the worst news for UNLV as Johnson said he is still considering the Rebels. This could be one of the first phone calls new head coach Marvin Menzies makes.
Johnson is a 6-4 and 220 pounds who transferred from El Cerrito High School in California to Findlay Prep in Las Vegas.
Other schools that offered Johnson were UTEP, California, Arkansas State and UC-Santa Barbara.
