Coaching searches often have about faces and quick updates and that is exactly what is going on with UNLV's pursuit of Cincinnati head coach Mick Cronin. There were multiple reports saying a deal for Cronin to be the next Rebels head coach had not been met and he planed to fly back to Ohio.
Mark Anderson -- who by the way has been all over this story -- of the Las Vegas Review-Journal received a text message from UNLV Athletics director Tina Kunzer-Murphy who said she will be meeting again with Mick Cronin Thursday morning about the head coaching job.
Cronin was in Las Vegas Tuesday night through Wednesday interviewing for the job, so this latest meeting might just be over the phone between him and Kunzer-Murphy.
ESPN's Jeff Goodman is hearing that despite Cronin leaving Las Vegas that he is still the front runner.
Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin flying back home from Las Vegas, but those in the UNLV camp still very confident he’s heading back to Vegas.

As of now it still seems that all signs point toward UNLV and Cronin working out a deal to get him to be the next UNLV Runnin' Rebels head coach.
