2016 San Jose State football recruiting: DE Cameron Alexander commits to the Spartans

Spartans address the defensive line with Cameron Alexander.

Quick Bio

Cameron Alexander is a defensive end coming from Mira Costa high school in Manhattan Beach, California. He has a big frame standing at 6'4" to go along with 220 pounds. That's a real big frame for an incoming freshman. One can only imagine that spending a year or two in the Spartans strength and conditioning program will add more to that size. While his only is from San Jose State, he did attend the camps of some bigger named programs. He attended the camps of Arizona, Nevada, and Southern Cal. Unfortunately, he was unable to make his case enough to the coaches to earn a scholarship.

On his commitment to the Spartans:

"I went up there in the summer and it was an unofficial," Alexander said. "I visited the football facilities and the campus. I was really comfortable. The players and coaches liked me. I'm pretty sure on my official visit it will be even better."
