Boise State takes on a reeling 6-6 Baylor football team that has lost its final six games, their offensive coordinator is taking a new job, all-time leading rusher is skipping the bowl game and a dozen seniors are looking ahead to a potential NFL career.
So, it is safe to say that this Baylor team might have a few distractions which includes Jim Grobe whose one year stint is ending.
Boise State has none of those problems and they are playing in the state of Arizona where they have played very well in their prior three Fiesta Bowl victories.
The Broncos season did not go as planned by not making it to the Mountain West title game despite going 10-2 and ranked. However, getting to this bowl game is more of a reward than the other Mountain West bowl games which pay less and matching up against a team from a better conference.
Despite with both teams in different directions there is a great chance of this game scoring a lot of points and being a great late night matchup.
