Saturday afternoon at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, the UNLV Rebels observed Veteran’s Day prior to their Mountain West Conference matchup with the Wyoming Cowboys. The presentation was nothing short of spectacular.
That's one big flag. #UNLVFB pic.twitter.com/0ec7mX8Ene

An impressive sight, for sure. That’s no ordinary gigantic football field sized flag. The flag unfurled Saturday has been featured at 12 World Series meetings and most recently it was used during the Chicago Cubs championship run.
Cool note: The flag that covered the field at @SamBoydStadium was also used in 12 World Series, including the @Cubs championship series. pic.twitter.com/MUxet2fsiv

The Cubs Twitter account responded to the shoutout.

The flag has been good luck so far. The upset-minded Rebels continue to hang with the Cowboys, up 37-31 late in the third.
