UNLV football recruiting: Rebels land three-star quarterback Armani Rogers

UNLV landed a three-star quarterback for their 2016 class.

Student Sports

UNLV is picking up a lot of talent in this 2016 class and their latest verbal commit is three-star quarterback Armani Rogers out of Los Angeles. He is rated as the nation's 24th best dual threat quarterback and 68th best player in California.

The Rebels earned his commitment over Fresno State -- which he visited on January 22 -- Cal, Arizona State, UCLA, Colorado State, Washington and Utah. This is a good grab for the Rebels who are slowly starting to show that they can recruit and be a force in that with Tony Sanchez having a full year to recruit.

Rogers is the second quarterback in the Rebels class, the other being junior college transfer Johnny Stanton who has already signed his letter of intent.

The quarterback position is somewhat open for the Rebels now that Blake Decker has graduated. There is Kurt Palandech who is a junior and he saw some playing time as a change of pace quarterback, and he likely will get the not to start based off of experience.

Check out the highlights of Rogers.
