Boise State has lost one player from its football team in tight end David Lucero -- his dismissal could be why the Broncos have been focusing on tight end in the current recruiting process.
This specific reason as to why Lucero was not said but it more than likely stems back to a November incident where he was arrested and booked on a felony charge of attempted strangulation charge. He pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of misdemeanor battery in December.
Bois State athletics director made a comment about Lucero's behavior, which is not acceptable.
"This type of behavior does not align with the core values of the athletic department at Boise State." -Apsey (2/2)

Lucero was a minor role in the Boise State offense this year and the former two-star recruit from the 2014 class played in nine games this year and he caught just four passes for 63 yards.
