Wyoming vs. BYU, 2016 Poinsettia Bowl: Time, live stream, TV schedule, and how to watch

Wyoming takes on BYU down in San Diego.

NCAA Football: Boise State at Wyoming Troy Babbitt-USA TODAY Sports

The Mountain West is back in action when Wyoming takes on former Mountain West and WAC rivals, BYU in the Poinsettia Bowl, or now known as the #PoinsettiaBohl.

This matchup features two of the best running backs in the country in Jamaal Williams from BYU and Brian Hill out of Wyoming. Both will eventually be in the NFL in the near future; Williams is a senior and Hill could declare as he is a junior.

These are the key players to watch and that is the matchup to watch. Wyoming is at the disadvantage in attempting to stop Williams as the Cowboys are down Chase Appleby, Carl Granderson and D.J. May. Those three were out in the Mountain West title game and San Diego State had two backs rush for over 100 yards.

The Cowboys will need to step up their game, and on other side this BYU’s rush defense is as good as the Aztecs. San Diego State did keep Hill in check.

Another matchup is at quarterback and more specifically for BYU. The Cougars are starting sophomore Tanner Mangum for the first time in 2016. He is taking over for Taysom Hill who once again had a season-ending injury against Utah State. Mangum did play in all 13 games for BYU last year but he is not only making his first start but also with a new offense. It will be interesting how quickly Mangum adjusts to real game time and against an opportunistic defense that the Cowboys have.

On to the game details.
