The New Mexico Lobos are in back-to-back bowl games and will be facing first time bowl participants, UTSA, Saturday afternoon in the first bowl game of the season.
So, do not let everyone down New Mexico and UTSA.
New Mexico is at home so that is an advantage as is their No. 3 rushing attack in the country led by Teriyon Gipson, and he is the key to the Lobos winning games. When Gipson was out or injured the Lobos are far less successful, and somehow lost to Rutgers.
The Lobos defense will need to step up and limit the damage that QB Dalton Sturm is capable of doing in the passing game. He does not turn the ball over and also is a decent runner, but the New Mexico defense is susceptible to giving up a lot of yards in the air.
The advanced stats clearly point toward New Mexico winning this game, and that is a reason the Lobos are a touchdown favorite over the Roadrunners.
