In a season that thus far has been a colossal failure for the Pokes, junior WR Tanner Gentry gets some national recognition. Tanner Gentry is 1 of 39 college wide receivers to be placed on the 2015 Biletnikoff Award watch list.

The Biletnikoff is an award that goes out to the year's most outstanding receiver.

Tanner Gentry leads the Mountain West Conference in receiving with 439 yards. This total places him 15th in the nation. Gentry's early success is amplified by the facts that he plays for a team that enjoys running the ball and that has dropped 4 straight game to open the 2015 campaign.

Gentry has had 3 games of over 100 yards receiving. His best game so far has been a 9 catch 176 yard, 1 touchdown effort vs the University of North Dakota.Gentry is the consummate team player, often stressing team improvement over immediate success and downplaying his impressive early individual efforts.

The Biletnikoff Award has been taken home by all time greats like Randy Moss, Larry Fitzgerald and Calvin Johnson jr. And is currently held by Amari Cooper. Some Pokes fans might remember that former standout Wyoming WR Marcus Harris took home the trophy in 1996.
